What is your name, and the name of your business?

Lucy Kay, The Pesky Partridge.

Where are you based?

Nottinghamshire.

How did you get the idea for The Pesky Partridge?

I’ve always made clothes and wanted things that actually fit me as I’m tall. For many reasons I needed to change my job of a rural surveyor and this was the result.

What is the favourite part of your business?

Hard one! I love making all sorts of things so enjoy the variety and providing people with things that actually fit their body.

What is one thing we don’t know about you?

I can use a welder.

What is the biggest thing you have learnt whilst in business?

To go with your gut and trust yourself.

What one thing could you not live without?

Being able to sew!

Which is your favourite event of the year?

Southwell Ploughing Match.

Shout out to your favourite brand?

My sister – The Masonry jewellery. She is amazingly talented and she makes me some awesome jewellery!

What is your favourite animal?

Horses.

If you could be an animal for a day, what would you be?

I’d like to be a bird so I could fly.
